Crayon animation of Billy putting a TV on the wall, one step at a time: Measure twice. Drill once. Hang it level. Hide the wires. Hand over the remote.

Step 1 of 5

Measure twice.

Billy finds the studs, checks the height from your couch, and marks the spot.

Step 2 of 5

Drill once.

The mount goes into studs, or the right anchors for your wall. Drywall, brick, stone, tile. He has the bits.

Step 3 of 5

Hang it level.

The TV goes up and the bubble goes in the middle. If it isn’t level, it isn’t done.

Step 4 of 5

Hide the wires.

Inside the wall: $50 a TV, and no more spaghetti.

Step 5 of 5

Hand over the remote.

He tests everything, cleans up, and gets out of your way.

Same care, any house.

Billy has put TVs in some of the nicest homes in Austin. He treats a one-bedroom apartment the same way.

The time Billy couldn’t drill.

  1. A homeowner says no holes in the mirror wall while Billy thinks it over.
Panel 1: A client had a mirror wall. Twelve feet wide, nine feet tall. They wanted a TV on it. They did not want a hole in it.
  2. Billy testing tapes and epoxies on mirror squares at his garage workbench.
Panel 2: So Billy went home and started testing tapes and epoxies in his garage.
  3. Billy driving his truck, struck by an idea about the rearview mirror.
Panel 3: Then, driving one day, he looked up at his rearview mirror. No screws. It’s glued to the glass.
  4. Billy on the phone to Germany, taking notes.
Panel 4: He called the manufacturer in Germany, got the details, and tested it until he trusted it.
  5. The TV floating on the mirror wall, no holes, with Billy and the happy homeowner.
Panel 5: The TV went up. No holes.
  6. That’s the hardest one. Your drywall will be fine.
